For the entire month, Michael Kors is championing World Food Day – which takes place on 16 October – by giving away a bunch of fabulous Watch Hunger Stop t-shirts outside six stores in five major cities. In New York, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and Hong Kong, those lucky enough to get a tee will be able to have their picture taken in a photo booth, which will then be streamed on New York's Times Square billboards and on WatchHungerStop.com.

Not only that, but our favourite watch designer has also launched a new 100 Series watch (unveiled by Halle Berry in April), and when one of us purchases the special-edition accessory, 100 children in a hunger-stricken area receive a nutritious meal. Yep. ONE HUNDRED. And it's already happening.

Michael tells us: 'The response to Watch Hunger Stop has been amazing. We delivered one and a half million meals to children in less than six months, and we’ve only just begun. It's acerbic statements like these that make the trailer for the newest fashion exposé,House Of Versace, so tempting. 

 

Actor Gina Gershon goes platinum blonde for her starring role as Donatella Versace, the current doyenne of the famed couture house.

 

The film traces Versace's rise from adoring sister to Gianni, the label's founder who was fatally shot outside his Miami home in 1997, to taking over the family business in those troubled times. 

 

Based on reporter Deborah Ball's book, House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival, the film airs tomorrow on US TV channel, Lifetime. 

 

Some of the scenes show Gershon's character at less than her glamorous best, which may be the reason the real-life designer has distanced herself from the film.

 

"Versace has neither authorised nor had any involvement whatsoever in the forthcoming TV movie about Mrs. Versace," a spokesperson for Versace told WWD. "Since Versace did not authorise the book on which it is based, the movie should only be seen as a work of fiction."

 

Fact or fiction, House Of Versace makes one thing clear: Donatella is not a woman to be trifled with. During one (reported) verbal duel with influential detractors, she hisses, “If you want to put me on a leash, it had better be diamond-studded.”

Appropriately distressed for team “rough around the edges” who have the magpie gene. A nice update for Autumn and Winter Mums and gals on the go. Fab cushioning footbed and runs true to size. 2. Donald J Pliner Turk Bootie: On trend, dressy, sleek and great for the office. 
3. Softspots Sherry Boot: A subtle bronze for those who like earth tones.

5. Chio Vieri Bootie: This shootie-bootie hybrid isn’t shiny, although the graphite silver colour option has depth and some sheen. 
6. Cole Haan Allen Bootie: A brushed gold Beatle bootie complete with comfortable Nike Air technology. A good shoe for travel. 
7. Dolce Vita Nimbus Boot: A shiny heel is one way to go if metallic booties are too much sparkle. This zebra darling reminds me of Nicholas Kirkwood’s footwear, but at a much more affordable price. Quite the eye catching ped.

It might be hard to think of booties in the middle of Summer, but for some, bootie wearing season is just around the corner. Because Fall and Winter are my dominant seasons, I find it fun to have a new pair of boots or booties waiting in my closet ready for action.
